A busy week in Toledo

So, a week has went by and a lot has happened. My workplace training has been great. I have been to different departements every day, like safety- and customer departement. I haven't been in those departements at my former workplace trainings, so it was quite interesting to see how that works. Everyday someone at work has taken me out for lunch at different places, and so far the food has been really good!

Thus tuesday Jahnine(mother in the family that I'm staying with) and Maya(daughter) took me to a shoppingmall for some shopping and food. I found a promdress and a pair of jeans, and we had some chicken with macaroni and cheese.

The next day I and Jahnine went to YMCA for some yoga and zumba, which was nice! I finally got to know what YMCA in the song is(haven't really thought about it before)

yesterday I followed Maya to her high school which was interesting! I got to follow Madison, who is in my own age, to see what their classes are like. It was quite different from Sweden, especially the part in the morning when everybody stood up, looking at the american flag while the national anthem was playing on the speakers! Also, the food was different(not like persgården;). The strangest questions I got was probably If we Sweedes eat a LOT of fish, and if I am afraid of gaining weight during my visit!
At night we ate at a restaurant called Tony Packo's. They has hotdog buns framed all over the walls, which were signed by famous people. The only ones I knew though was Alice Cooper and Jerry Seinfeld!
Jahnine works at a highschool, so later we watched her students playing basketball. It was really funny, since everyone are cheering for their lives!

So as you can see, I'm really enjoying my visit, and I'm really grateful for this opportunity!
