The group trip is ON!

The day has come! The day when our group trip got together and said ”Bye, bye Sweden! See you in 10 days!”.

The day started early in the morning and everyone made their way down to Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup. We met up around 9am and got our boardingpasses and checked in our bags. ”How much did the bag weigh in at?  How much can I buy and bring back home?” These are some of the thoughts that I’m sure went through most of our heads at the time.

After the security control and a stroll around the Taxfree shops we went to get some food in our stomachs before the flight. We knew it would be many hours before we got a proper meal again.

Then it was time for the airplane... It was so small! I’ve never flown in an airplane with only two seats on every side, but it was able to lift of the ground and I came down to earth again in Düsseldorf, Germany, safe and very much alive.

We had some problems when we got our bags back, not that they didn’t show, but two bags where broken (very sad faces)! One missed a wheel!

We then started a new trip, to the train station! To get there we had to ride an air-train, it’s wagons hanging from rails built high above the ground.

On the train station we waited for our five minutes late train (no better than Sweden on this point it seems like..) but we didn’t mind. The sun was shining and the spring made it’s presence well known.

The train was two stories high and after an hour and a half onboard we got of in Lippstadt and from here we traveled by buss for 40 minutes, out to the small villages and unknown bits of land where discovered! At least for us... And all of the farmers in the area made sure that no one would miss them and that they where ready for spring by that wonderful smell...

In the small village of Rüthen we got of the bus and where picked up by the owner of the hotel and restaurant Spitze Warte.

We got our rooms and went upstairs with our bags, of course it’s on the top floor, isn’t it always?

Some of the rooms are bigger...

...and some are smaller but I think everyone is happy right know as long as they have a bed and WiFi.

On the back of the hotel there is a school for horseback-riding, or at least that’s what we think it is, but still, we had a wonderful evening with beautiful colours.

By 6.30pm we where all starving and went down to the restaurant to eat and we had a great meal.

Some, for us, strange combinations like pineapple, curry and lingonberrys but we ate it all!

The hotel is cosy and I really think we’ll enjoy this one night we are staying here before we’re heading for Cologne (Köln in Swedish) tomorrow after our visit at Meisterwerke.

This time writing, Sanna, and all of us here, wishes you Gute Nacht from Rüthen, Germany.
