One factory down, three to go..

It is now Wednesday evening and all of us grouptrippers are currently chilling in our seperate rooms waiting for our 19pm dinner reservation.

So while we have som time to kill I will tell you about what we did yesterday and today!

So after a steady breakfast of eggs, sandwishes and yoghurt some of us decided to take the 3 km long walk down to the closest supermarket. We bought dinner and sweets for that evening, you see we were to travel from Ruthen to Köln, a trip that took a little more than 3 hours by bus and train.

We were lucky to have great weather on our walk and the surroundings were very similar to how the countryside looks at home.

Once we were back we packed our bag, had lunch and then we were on our way to MEISTER WERKE, a factory were they make all kinds of floors, wallpanels and differents kinds of accessories. Here we have some of the boys outside of the lobby.

There we got a guided tour in a train like car(??), some of us thought it resemled a rollar-coaster! And we were greatly surprised and very glad because we have never ridden a train like this on a tour.
We were this happy about it! Very comfortable and easy to hear the guide. (Due to slow internet go to our facebook page for more photos from the tour: https://www.facebook.com/perstorpgymnasium?fref=ts

After the tour we went to their exhibition were they displayed their different floors in an decored apartment. I think that we all feel a little bit in love with it.

The teenage room! A room in my taste. All of the floor and woodpanels are MeisterWerkes own products. And the IKEA furniture made of feel at home ♡.

Afterward it was "fika-time" ! And then it was time for us to begin the long journey to Köln. We arrived to the hotel in Köln by 10pm-something and some of us went to straight to bed!

Today we went to the Chocolate Museum by the river Rhein. There we went on a guided tour and got to know all about the process of making chocolate, from cacao pulps to chocolate bars.
Did you know that a cacao bean is purple and not brown on the inside? A really good quality bean would be white.
Here they are blending the cacao, sugar and vanilla without any fat. All of the fat form the beans have been extracted in a previous step but in a few steps ahead you put it back.
Chocolate chefs! And other creations.
And then we made our way to he Kölner Dome!

That was a short (long?) summary of our days so far. Know we are getting ready for bed so see you soon ! Kisses, Emelie BH.
